History  

Specific Radio Station for Perak existed since Malaya Radio Ipoh Station built in 1956 at a site nearby Ipoh Airport. In 1966, a complete Radio Station building inspired by an architect, Iversen Van Sitteran built in an area of 5.670 hectares at Dairy Road, Ipoh. Contractor whom handled its constructions was Syarikat Teoh Tay & Son from Sungai Siput, Perak. Malaya Radio Ipoh Station started its operations from new building at Dairy Road, Ipoh with 50 staffs. Apart from office spaces, this building also included 5 radio studios , auditorium with 500 capacity of audience and engineering workshop.

 Today, RTM Perak has 77 staffs included staffs working at Stesen Pemancar Grik.
